Teams around the Rye area have wrapped up their seasons. However, there are a few teams who stayed alive this week playing their hardest until the final buzzer.
Rye Garnets
The Rye boys lacrosse team fell short of capturing the 2010 Section One Class C Championship to two-time champion Putnam Valley, 10-9, in a hard-fought game that was close throughout behind four goals from Matt McReddie. The Garnets finish the season at 12-8.

Blind Brook Trojans

Thunder and lightning halted the Blind Brook Trojan's Section One playoff game against Valhalla in the top of the second inning Tuesday. The Trojans lost 3-0, however when play resumed Wednesday, the Trojans rebounded to finish the season at 8-10. It was a good season for the Trojans as they advanced to play two games in the playoffs.
Robbie Winston of the Blind Brook Track and Field Team competed in state competition, placing second in the 3 x 200 meter relay at White Plains High School. Winston came in second to Woodland's Kevin Sainvil with a time of 23.40 compared to Sanvil's 22.50.
