Meanwhile, Poppy Cafe's John Castellano expressed frustration for his fellow players' struggles in the field and at the plate.

"They hit, we didn't," he said of the opposition.

Castellano also said team commitment could  have been a deciding factor in the game, as absences cause different people to play different positions each game.

Jay Dee's saw their 1-0 first inning lead squander as Poppy's Cafe tallied three runs in the top of the third to go ahead 4-1 on hits from Castellano, Steven Ramsey, and Jimmy Groglio.

After tying it up at 4-4 in the bottom of the fifth, Greg Kreder scored off a Kenny base hit to give Jay Dee's the lead in the bottom of the sixth.

Jay Dee's Bobby Milano's single scored Kreder for the 6-4 victory.

Jay Dee's looks to rise above the .500 mark next Wednesday against first place Tony's Legacy at Rye Recreation Park in a 6:30 p.m. matchup.

Poppy's Cafe will try to improve their record when they play High Intensity, the second best team in the league, next Wednesday.
