What does responsible stewardship of a cultural landscape entail? How can design respect both history and ecology?  The National Historic Landmark Jay Property in Rye, NY is the ideal venue to explore these challenges, spark discourse, and inspire sustainability and preservation. JHC together with The Cultural Landscape Foundation will host a 1 day symposium with 6 nationally known experts in landscape architecture and environmental design: Speakers will include: Cheryl Barton, Charles A. Birnbaum, Rick Darke, Patricia O’Donnell, Doug Reed, and Thomas Woltz. Participants may be eligible for American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) or Continuing Education credits. Also sponsored by the American Society of Landscape Architects, the Preservation League of New York, the New-York Historical Society, and the City of Rye Sustainability Committee. Discounted tickets for JHC, TCLF and NYHS members.
