King Street Sidewalk Replacement Begins Today

A message from the Village of Rye Brook.

The Village of Rye Brook will begin sidewalk replacement operations along the south bound lane of King Street beginning today, Oct. 24 that will last for approximately three weeks (weather changes may affect the schedule).  Construction will commence at 9:00 am and cease by 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.

Sidewalk work will be performed in the following areas:

  1. King Street from 1004 King Street south to North Ridge Street
  2. King Street from  952 King Street south to Arbor Drive

During this time, residents will experience a modified traffic pattern with lane shifts in both the north and south bound direction of traffic in and around work zones. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained to the extent possible or permissible by New York State DOT.  Periodic stopping of traffic may occur as necessary to accommodate trucks and equipment.

Residents and motorists are urged to plan their travel routes accordingly around this area of work.
