It certainly was a craven & cruel past 4 years. Owing his election triumph over Steve Otis to his promises to clean up Rye and get to the bottom of local crimes like the destruction-for-money of Schubert’s Pond, Mr. French, an apparent actual psychopath, instead burned every bridge to his electors except those to whom he was secretly indebted – like corrupt officials at city hall and influence peddlers posing as local property attorneys and consultants. He rode this horse until his own crimes of commission, like concealing & destroying public records, his illegal Rye rental house, approving fraudulent contracts and trying to prevent the exposure of The Rye Golf Club swindle brought the public back into the council chambers demanding honesty. He slimed them anyway and paid at the polls despite not daring to run himself as his hand selected Mr. Jovanovich failed to pull off the same con twice. Now it falls to Mr. Sack, the recipient of so much abuse at the hands of French-O-Vitch and their ossified political class masters, to deliver the town from a form of malignant malfeasance unseen in Rye since it separated from Port Chester decades ago. Many wrongdoers remain at large. Some feel immune to standard justice since they are high appointed or elected officials in what we now know as “the corridor of corruption.” Mr. Sack must decide whether he’s going to play the long game and root out and bring to justice to the malefactors or just wallpaper the place and call it rebuilt. Much depends on his personal integrity and determination to make his mark - as the voters expected - once given the chance.

Nicely said tedc. ====================================== Time to take the trash (French, Jovanovich and Filippi) to the curb. ====================================== If Sack doesn't get rid of Pickup, Wilson, Toomey and Nodarse nothing will change. ====================================== I see Jovanovich's "sister" is up for a vote on a 3 year bid on the BAR this Wednesday. I hope she gets rejected. I believe that she and her snoozespaper are as useless as a used condom. Good analogy or no? Why can't this nomination to the BAR and others wait until the new City Council takes over? ======================================

To Anne McCarthy, You nailed Pickup last night in yet another lie. ====================================== I could not believe my ears when I heard Pickup (with Wilson staring at him oh so affectionately) mumbling and stumbling his way into trying to explain how the former park, that used to be located at Post and Central, was now gone. ====================================== First he said it was created for the former owner of the Black Bass to locate construction equipment. Really? ====================================== Then it turns out that those owners (I believe represented by a politically connected Rye individual), never asked for permission to use this former park land as a staging area for the old Black Bass construction. ====================================== So if they never asked for this staging area, why did Pickup use our taxpayer money (or perhaps worse, FEMA money) to create it, provide them with their own private driveway entrance and destroy a park in the process without any approval (except maybe a wink and a nod because someone who is politically connected is involved)? ====================================== This sounds like malfeasance, misfeasance or both to me. If Pickup isn't already getting fired, this would probably do him in. How much more of Pickup can this community take? ====================================== On another note it was nice to see Pickup get denied his $10,000+ in bonuses and Jovanovich's "sister" Robin not get appointed to the Rye BAR last night. In my opinion Pickup is a disease and Jovanovich's "sister" is a cancer for this community. Good riddance to this filth. ======================================

Explain the whole "sister" thing to those of us who got up and went to get a snack during this part of the episode. Is this a hint at incest or just a continuation of the original Judith Hill prequel?

Interested- Some people in Rye have said that Robin J is Peter J's sister (as well as his wife).

I had always thought that Peter and Robin were husband and wife. Then one day Pete Fox at the Rye marina told me they were actually brother and sister. Maybe it's just a "rumor" but I don't know them that well to know for sure. Either way, they both suck anyway and good riddance to them both.
