Crawford Park Staircase Costs Climb

Rye Town Council is rejecting current bids on staircase replacement at Crawford Mansion.

The Rye Town Board unanimously supported a resolution from Deputy Town Supervisor Bill Villanova to reject all bids on that have been received for work on the Crawford Mansion staircase.

Projected costs have climbed from $50,000 previously budgeted to $100,000 for an interior fire-safe staircase that would allow the second floor of Crawford Mansion to be used for meetings and offices.

The Town Council will re-evaluate and revisit the RFP for its construction.
