Rye Police Catch Car Theft Suspect in New Rochelle

A man wanted for multiple burglaries was arrested this week.

Police arrested a man wanted in connection with several burglaries in Rye and New Rochelle this month, Rye City Police Commissioner William Connors said.

David Clarke, a 30-year-old New Rochelle resident, was arrested on March 13 after Rye police saw him driving a PT Cruiser that was reported stolen from Johnson Place in Rye on Feb. 24, 2013. Rye police alerted the New Rochelle police, who had a warrant for his arrest in connection with a prior burglary, and who then made the arrest.

Clarke faces charges in both Rye and New Rochelle, according to police.
