Possible Con Ed Impersonators; Problems

Reports from the Rye police blotter.

On Nov. 16 at 1:18 a.m. a resident stated that she heard banging against the side of her house and then moments later she received a call from a party identifying themselves as Con Ed and that they would be working in the area of the home on Peter Jay Lane. Police spoke to a homeowner at 1:27 a.m. who said Con Ed contacted them regarding fixing their power because they are still only partially restored. Con Ed was not in the area and police noted they would check later.

On Nov. 16 at 10:54 a.m. a caller on the 300 block of Boston Post Road reported there were people on his property that claimed to be with Con Edison. Police report the individuals were gone on their arrival.

On Nov. 17 at 5:21 p.m. a caller reported trouble with a Con Edison employee on the 300 block of Boston Post Road. An officer responded and settled the dispute for the resident and filed a complaint with the Con Ed Foreman regarding their employee.
