5 Plead Guilty in Ardsley Home Invasion

The defendants currently await their sentencing dates.

Five have plead guilty in a April 23 home invasion where an Ardsley family was bound and gagged with duct tape and robbed for thousands of dollars at gunpoint.

“Diligent detective work by the Ardsley Police Department along with high-tech forensic assistance from my office resulted in the arrest and prosecution of these five defendants for committing a violent home invasion,” said Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore.

  • Richard G. Davis, 31, of New Rochelle, will be sentenced on Feb. 5 and pled guilty to one count of robbery in the first degree, a Class “B” violent felony
  • Exander Rosado, 19, of Yonkers will be sentenced on Jan. 29 and pled guilty to one count of burglary in the first degree, a Class “B” violent felony

The Rosado brothers and Davis were accuse of waving a gun and demanding cash as then entered the Bramblebrook Road home around 6 p.m. with four family members inside (three children and one adult), gaining entrance through a back sliding door, according to law enforcement officials.

Zimba, who previously worked for the homeowner, was monitoring the situation over the phone, while Moore waited outside in the getaway car.

The younger son and daughter were sent to a guest bedroom, where they hid under the covers. About $45,000 was stolen from the home office.

Four of the five defendants were arrested on July 6, as Davis, was in county jail at the time on an unrelated gun charge, and later arrested on July 9.

The maximum sentence on burglary in the first degree is 25 years in state prison, the maximum sentence on attempted burglary in the second degree is 7 years in state prison.

Let's look at the appropriateness of this post. First, it's clearly an ad because it points to aRead More specific insurance agent at a specific agency to contact. Second, it attempts to hide being an ad behind what may be useful information (or not). Third, the "person" who posted it doesn't use their real name. Instead, they use a pseudonym Divorce Information NOW. That doesn’t seem terribly reassuring to me. This the third advertising post on the “announcements” space since Rye Patch converted to the new site layout. Seems a bit of a mess to me. But hopefully someone will come along and figure out who the real poster is, their link to the advertised agent and agency, and then delete the post. After all, if it’s an ad, it should be labeled as such and the poster should pay for having it run. If that doesn’t happen, Patch won’t be able to pay its employees to keep real content on the site.
