Readers' Choice: Rye Patch's Best Place to Walk and Hike

Spring is upon us and now is the time to get outdoors and enjoy the local trails and parks. Which one is your favorite?

This Tuesday is the last day of what has turned out to be an exceptionally mild winter. But the official start of Spring is a great excuse to really get back outdoors.

Rye Patch readers have a number of great places to walk or hike right in our own backyard. Of course, there's the beach with its beautiful view of the Long Island Sound and plenty of joggers just hit the streets and enjoy their neighborhood. But some of the best places to enjoy an outdoor sojourn are the area's parks.

So here's a list of some great spots to catch a glimpse of Spring flora and fauna while getting a great workout to boot. If you have another favorite route, add it in our comment section.

The winner will be announced this Friday. A future meet-up at the winning location seems like a great way to cap this Readers Choice survey

You can check out the rules for Readers Choice in the PDF attached.

Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch.

It would have been nice if there was a choice of RTP/Playland Boardwalk/Seaside Walk. That would have been my number one choice.
