Larchmont New Movie Matinee: “Man of Steel” @ Larchmont Library at Larchmont Public Library. This 2013 major film release stars Henry Cavill as Clark Kent and has a stellar supporting cast that includes Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Russell Crowe and Kevin Costner.

Storytime for Preschoolers at Highland Falls Library at Highland Falls Library. Storytime for Pre-schoolers (ages 3-5), Wednesdays at 1:15pm or Thursdays at 10:30am. These sessions are seasonal, each registered child stays on the list for the entire session (Sign-ups required).

Teen Book Club @ Larchmont Library at Larchmont Public Library.  For December the club will read and discuss Pivot Point by Kasie West.

Mother Goose for Pre-Walkers-9:30am at Scarsdale Public Library. Mother Goose Time is a program for babies from birth to age 2 with an adult caregiver. This language enrichment program uses rhymes, songs and stories with baby and caregiver to stimulate listening, learning, speaking and reading skills.

Introduction to the Instruments: Winds & Brass @ Larchmont Library at Larchmont Public Library. Ages 4 and up. This series provides children and their families an opportunity to really get to know how each instrument works by hearing them played, and being able to touch, feel, and play them.

Monday, December 16


Teen Anime Manga Club at (Peekskill) The Field Library. Can't get enough anime, manga, and all things otaku? We will watch an Anime, discuss future plans for the club, and enjoy snacks. This event is free of charge and open to middle and high school age.

Anime Manga gaming club meeting at Mahopac Public Library at Mahopac Library. Join other teens with the same interests. Through out the year, each week has a different agenda - join a video game session, screen an anime movie, join a card game tournament and more!

Tuesday, December 17


Drop-in storytime at Scarsdale Library at Scarsdale Public Library. Ages 3 1/2 - 5, Tuesdays at 4pm. No registration required.

Rob Goldstone presents Great Movies: “Across the Pacific” @ Larchmont Library at Larchmont Public Library. Rob Goldstone presents this 1942 classic film starring Humphrey Bogart, Mary Astor and Sydney Greenstreet.

Bilingual Family Night at White Plains Library at White Plains Public Library. Storytime in English & Spanish for children and their families. Includes craft & a cookie snack.
