Rye Golf Club’s Whitby Castle will host a night of music and
spooky celebration with a double-bill show featuring The Stella Blues Band and
Chris Berardo and The DesBerardos on Oct. 26.
The show, which the Stella Blues band booking agent dubs “Stellaween” is the local Grateful Dead band’s first at Whitby and something they are hoping to continue. Chris Berardo & The DesBerardos have been described as an Americana band that features lead singer Chris’ vocals, along with a mix of acoustic moments and harder rock jams.
Andy Aledort, an accomplished musician who has played with bandmates of Jimi Hendrix, Buddy Guy, the Allman Brothers and many others, will join the DesBerardos as a guest.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the show is at 8:30 p.m. The event is open to the public, 21 and over only, $10 at the door. Costumes are not mandatory but are welcome.
