The Clay Art Center, founded in 1957 by Katherine Choy and Henry Okamoto, is a nationally recognized center for the advancement of the ceramic arts.  Its facilities are unique in the tri-state area of New York, providing artists with studio space, offering classes to adults and children, and a gallery featuring monthly exhibitions.  Its purpose is to encourage the growth of the ceramic arts for its artists, students and the local community.
