Rye School Board Candidates Forum Set for May 6

-The League of Women Voters – Rye, Rye Brook & Port Chester will sponsor a Candidates’ Forum for candidates seeking election to the Rye City School District Board of Education.   The Candidates’ Forum is scheduled for Monday, May 6, 2013, 7:30 pm, in the Multi-purpose room of the Rye Middle School. 3 Parsons Street, Rye, NY  

There are two Board seats up for election.  Currently three candidates have filed petitions for candidacy - Robert Zahm, Nicole Weber and incumbent Katy Keohane Glassberg.

More can still join the race. The deadline for filing the required petitions with the School District is 5:00 pm on Wednesday, May 1 2013.  The Board of Education Election and the vote on the 2013-14 School District Budget will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2013.
