Easter Egg Hunt; Miriam’s Attic Opens; Shredder in Rye

Five things you need to know for the rest of the week, March 27.

1. Easter Egg Hunts

The Osborn will host an old fashioned Easter egg hunt on Saturday, March 30.  The event is free and open to the public. The Carole Kirby Memorial hunt at Rye Rec field is also happening on Saturday. Read more here.

Safely destroy unwanted personal papers and documents at Rye Town Hall on March 30 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

3. Zahm to Run for School Board

Former school board member Robert Zahm, who has been vocal about his opinions of city governance and school district decisions, has announced he will run in this May’s school board elections, according to The Rye Town Revies’s Christian Falcone. “Zahm said he will run on the same platform he did in 2004: Improving things from a fiscal, governance and communications perspective,” Falcone reported. 4. Miriam’s Attic Opens in April

Mirani's attic will open one Saturday a month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. from April until October. The Shop will be open the first Saturday of the month, except in July, when it will open the second Saturday because of the fourth of July holiday. Read more here. 

5. Rye Little League Opening Day Parade

The Rye Little League Parade will be on Saturday, April 13. The day starts with a parade and ends with baseball and softball games at Disbrow/Grainger Field in Rye.
