Counterfeit Money Used in Town; Fireworks Reported; Abandoned Bicycles

Counterfeit Money

There was a report of a heavy set black male attempting to pass fraudulent money orders at Citibank on Boston Post Road on June 28 at 3:31 p.m., according to the police blotter.

Another caller reported a counterfeit hundred-dollar bill in her cash draw at Candy Rox that had been taken in during the last several days on July 2 at 1 p.m.

Fireworks Reported

Fireworks were reported coming from a house at the end of Eldredge Place on June 28 at 11:26 p.m.

Dog Barking Complaint

A Rye resident reported a dog barking for the last several hours on Barberry lane on June 30 at 1:26 a.m.

 Abandoned Bicycles Reported

Two bicycles were found in the bushes near Forest Avenue and Drake Smith Lane on July 1 at 4:55 p.m. A bike abandoned on thte front lawn of Milton School was reported the same day around 9 p.m.
