Hilton Westchester to Present Plans for Assisted Living Facility

The Rye Brook hotel is considering building a 125 unit senior housing facility.

The Rye Brook Village Board of Trustees will review a Westchester Hilton Sketch Plan that proposes building 125 units of assisted living housing on the hotel property at 699 Westchester Avenue during their board meeting Tuesday, Oct. 8.

The Hilton Westchester owner, MK LCP Rye, LLC, was originally considering building independent upscale senior housing but has only received interest in the construction of an assisted living facility and has therefore revised their plans, according to a letter from the owner’s lawyer, Frank S. McCullough, Jr., to Rye Brook Village officials.

The latest plan propose a three to four story building of 100 units of assisted living building and a 25 unit memory care building that would be two stories tall.

“The proposal is vital to the long-term economic health and vitality of the Hilton Westchester, and would increase the tax base with no additional burden on the school systems,” McCullough, Jr. wrote.

Review of the sketch plans is number one on the Board’s agenda for the Oct. 8 meeting, which will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Village Hall.
