Festival @ 51: A Day of FREE Arts Fun for the Entire Family!

The Rye Arts Center is proud to present a FREE, hands-on day of art, music, theatre, and dance for the entire community on Sunday, September 12. From 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., professional musicians and RAC students will play jazz, rock, and classical music, local artisans will sell their crafts, and people of all ages will take part in arts workshops conducted by RAC instructors.  Participate in drawing, painting, clay, and music workshops. Buy gently used and donated items at our tag sale, including art and music supplies, instruments, art and music books, CDs, and DVDs; proceeds will benefit The Rye Art Center's scholarship fund for need-based students. In addition, our Gallery will feature a silent auction of more than forty paintings by regional artists. These artists will return to the RAC on Saturday, September 25to participate in our plein-air paint-out and live art auction, an event that is also open to the public. The whole family can Follow Their HeARTS to the Rye Arts Center! FREE cotton candy, snow cones, and face painting for all. The Rye Arts Center is a community-based, not-for-profit, volunteer organization, whose mission is to inspire interest and maximum participation in the arts in Westchester and the surrounding region. We are committed to offering programs that are characterized by artistic tradition, educational value, and a spirit of innovation.
