Jay Heritage Center Announces First Annual Hort Lunch

An announcement from Jay Heritage Center.

On Thursday, Feb. 7 from 12 to 2 p.m. join the Jay Heritage Center for our first Annual Hort Lunch! Landscape Architect, Larry Weaner  talks about “New Life for An Old Meadow – Replacing Invasives with  Natives ” - Casual Attire,Tickets $50 and $65 for the talk and a box lunch. The Jay mansion will be open at 11:00am so that JHC friends can see the meadow and viewshed from the veranda. We are immensely grateful to members of Rye's local garden clubs who have spearheaded this program for us and we welcome volunteer gardeners and "wellie wearers" to come and learn how they can help us in the future! RSVP to JHC Program Director, Heather Craane at (914) 698-9275 or jayhc@earthlink.net. Prizes for most creative wellies! 

February 10th (Sunday 3:00pm - 5:00pm) Hallie Bond joins us for “Common Threads” a FREE talk on quilts of the Adirondacks co-sponsored with NY Council for the Humanities (“NYCH”.) Do you have a family quilt you'd like to learn more about? Bring it with you and Hallie will help expand about the history of its maker or the subject that is depicted.
