Milton Point Bus Route Hearing Next Tuesday

After months of lobbying, Rye residents will have a public hearing to air their grievances about the cessation of Bee-Line Route 76.

Rye residents will finally get the public hearing they believe they were denied before County Executive Rob Astorino allowed a service contract for Bee-Line Bus Route 76 serving Milton Point last December. 

County Legislator Judy Myers sent word by email Wednesday evening that the County Board of Legislators will have a joint committee meeting of their Budget and Appropriations and Government Operations committees next Tuesday, April 24 at 7 p.m. in Rye City Hall.

In January, several residents of and aging-in-place organization SPRYE held . Without bus service, the protestors argued travel had become challenging and expensive, especially for elderly residents and people who work in the Milton Point area.
