Will Yandrasevich Get His Walk to Keep Quiet?

The undercurrent is now palpable - will former senior Rye City employee Scott Yandrasevich ever get to public trial - or, like former Rye City Manager O. Paul Shew, will he use what he knows about former Mayor Steve Otis and now Deputy County Executive Kevin Plunkett's "management" of the Rye City Treasury to coax the DA (a friend of both men) to offer Yandrasevich a plea for his silence?

Shew apparently leveraged what he knew about the actions of both men locally with two separate Rye City Councils (who were both advised by the same city attorney busy concealing damning evidence from the judge in Schubert's case) when Shew sued the city multiple times for a settlement far far larger than his dreadful actions here could possibly warrant.

(Remember - Yandrasevich's then unincorporated RM Staffing arrived with no contract, no RFP and no council or public discussion under Otis, Plunkett and Shew's authority in 2007. The internal financial controls of the city were shredded - and $2M+ is now missing. Recently deposed city manager Scott Pickup said Kevin Plunkett vetted the Yandrasevich-RM Staffing arrangement. Westchester DA Janet Difiore likely wants zero to do with embarrassing or prosecuting Rob Astorino's Deputy County Executive Plunkett - who's fingers now extend far beyond the wallets of Rye taxpayers.)

So as usual, justice for Rye Citizens and the swindled Rye Golf Club members hangs in the balance. The Rye political class still insists the whole thing is a phony scandal and a side show. Anyone want to give odds?

Does the DA's recent resolution of Rye's Police Uniform Bid Fraud come to mind?

According to Westchester District Attorney’s office spokesman Lucian Chalfen, Yandrasevich could plead guilty at his August court date—which is known as a “determination of readiness for trial”—or he can announce his intention to go to trial.
