BB Superintendent Picks New Assistant MS Principal

Blind Brook Superintendent William Stark has announced his selection of the new Blind Brook Middle School principal, Laura Neier.

See his letter to the community below.

Dear Members of the Blind Brook Community:

As you know with Mr. Richard serving as Interim Middle School Principal for the coming school year the District conducted a search for an interim assistant principal. I am happy to report that I will be recommending that the Board of Education appoint Ms. Laura Neier to that position for the 2013-2014 school year at their June 27th meeting.

Ms. Neier currently serves as a Senior Educational Specialist in the Office of Teacher Effectiveness in New York City. In this position her primary responsibility is to mentor and coach school administrators in the use of teacher evaluation protocols. Prior to her current assignment Ms. Neier served as the Assistant Principal at the World Journalism Preparatory School 6-12 in New York City. She has experience in curriculum development, assessment for learning, scheduling, discipline and all aspects of building administration.

I want to also thank the members of the search team that participated in the selection process including Mr. Horowitz, Ms. Follansbee, Ms. Treacy, Mrs. Mediate, Mrs. Lambert and Mr. Richard.
Following her appointment by the Board of Education, Ms. Neier will begin her assignment, July 1st.

Please join me in welcoming Ms. Neier to Blind Brook.

Sincerely,
William J. Stark
