ReplyWe may disagree, Mr. McVetty, but it's not because of emotion. The three officers I referred to are involved in other lawsuits and allegations of misconduct. That's a matter of fact, not emotion. And there will be civil litigation to follow. The Westchester DA's office and the White Plains Police Department will likely have to justify the actions of these officers in a court of law. Unfortunately, a man is dead and that is a great tragedy for the community and his family.

ReplyI don't think the problem is the tradition. Cyclists should obey traffic laws. I can't think of a good reason why the riders can't respect the rules of the road- for their own safety as well as everyone around them.
