Milton School serves students from kindergarten through fifth grade. In 1898, Union Free School District #2…More moved from Milton Road to the school's current location on a hill atop Hewlett Avenue. The new brick building, current gym and auditorium accommodated the growing number of children from the Milton Point community of grades K-9, at the time.
Milton School gained a reputation for excellence due to the dedication of Board of Education members and early principals, especially John L. Flores, who served as principal from 1917 to 1952. In 2003, Milton School was awarded a second Blue Ribbon for academic excellence based on the performance of its students in reading and math.
