Playland is a historic amusement park in the City of Rye that is one of the few county-owned parks in the country.…More Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987, the park has been in existence since 1928.
It is located near Playland Parkway and its boardwalk boast beautiful views of the Long Island Sound.
Built in 1929, the Dragon Coaster is probably the most iconic part of Playland, but the park also has several other fun rides, including two dark rides, Thunderbolt, Sky Flyer, and Starship 2000. The park also features games stands, souvenirs and a cotton candy stand. It also also includes an ice skating rink, swimming pools and nearby beaches.
