The Southern Westchester Board of Cooperative Educational Services (SWBOCES) was established in 1948 to provide schools and school districts with educational and management services. SWBOCES offers hundreds of services to school districts in the region, encompassing 187 schools, 104,000 students and more than 650,000 adults who live and work in the area.
Resources offered by SWBOCES range from technological assistance to special education and occupational education programs. The central administrative office, including the district superintendent's office, is located in a residential neighborhood in Rye Brook.
