<p>School of the Holy Child in Rye is a Catholic, independent, college preparatory school for young women in grades five through 12. Established in 1904 and guided by the ideals of Cornelia Connelly, founder of the Society of the Holy Child Jesus, the school was established to foster "joy in teaching and joy in learning" and to educate young women to "meet the wants of the age."</p> <p>The school was originally located in New York City, but moved to its current 17-acre campus in Rye in 1957.</p>
