Marshlands Conservancy is a 173-acre wildlife sanctuary composed of diverse habitats, including forest, meadow, salt marsh and shore. The Conservancy features three miles of trails and one-half mile of shoreline along the Long Island Sound. Located along the Atlantic migratory flyway, Marshlands is an excellent bird watching location, with more than 230 species sighted. The site also hosts educational nature study programs, hiking, walking, birding and cross-country skiing.
