The Port Chester group working to bring a dog park to town will hold an “Extravaganza” on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 10 a.m.

Join us for a day of fun. The PCDP group will be hosting park tours of the future Port Chester Dog Park as well as selling raffles, specialty items and hosting a tag sale. The Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur begins at sunset Friday. It is a day of prayer, fasting and no luxuries, referred to as the Day of Atonement.

The Capitol Theatre is happy to announce NO FEES on all CASH purchases made at our box office beginning Friday, September 13th. A $2 fee per ticket will applied to all credit card purchases.

The box office will also have NEW hours beginning Friday, September 13th:

MON – THU: 2PM – 6PM FRI – SAT: 12PM – 6PM

Sunday we will open at noon (only if there is a show that evening).

Rye Historical Soc. Films

The Rye Historical Society is hosting a three-part World War II film series in connection with its current exhibit "RYE IN WORLD WAR II".

 The showings will take place on three consecutive Sundays in September from 2:30 to 5 PM at the Square House Museum at 1 Purchase Street in Rye, NY.

 Hosting the series will be Ted M. Levine, longtime Rye resident and film instructor at Iona College. A guest speaker will introduce each film with brief remarks about the military front, women in the war, and undertakings on the home front. World War II vintage-style refreshments will be served at each showing. Sept. 15 film is "Run Silent, Run Deep" Sept. 22 film is "Sands of Iwo Jima" Sept. 29 film is "Lifeboat" Program cost is $5 each showing or $10 for the 3-part series, payable at the door. Free admission for veterans and active military personnel. Seating is limited and pre-registration is suggested. Call 914-967-7588 for information and reservations.
