TD Bank's Charitable Foundation Donates $10,000 To United Way

TD Bank, through its TD Charitable Foundation, has donated $10,000 to United Way of Westchester and Putnam as part of the bank’s efforts to support the community.

United Way of Westchester and Putnam says it will use the funds to support the primary mission of advancing the common good with a focus on creating opportunities for local residents to have a quality education that leads to a stable job, income that can support a family through retirement, and good health.

TD Bank and its foundation say a staunch commitment to active involvement in the local community is a vital element of the TD Bank philosophy. TD Bank and the TD Charitable Foundation provide financial and other support to affordable housing initiatives, financial literacy and education and the environment, many of which focus on improving the welfare of children and families.
Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2012, United Way of Westchester and Putnam  works with agency partners, government, businesses and community leaders to solve problems often too complex for any one entity alone. Contributions go toward improving the education, income, and health of the children, youth and families throughout Westchester and Putnam.
