Milton Teacher's Band Kicks Off Rye's Summer Concert Series

Local band Twist of Fate will kick off Rye’s summer Twilight Tuesday Concert Series this Tuesday, June 25 in Rye Town Park at 7:30 p.m.

Milton School teacher Dayna Reist and her husband Adam lead the five member Twist of Fate band that plays Reggae, Ska, Jamaican and American Pop music and features steel drums.

“Playing Rye's Music Series is one of the true highlights of my music year,” Dayna Reist told Patch. “The chance to play the music that I love, on the instrument I love, to the children I love, is a musician's dream.”

Reist said she feels extremely fortunate that the families and staff of the Milton school support her personal passion of music.

“I have looked forward all year to being able to play in our shared neighborhood to my enthusiastic students.  Having played my steel drums themselves in school, I know it is fun for the students to see the instrument and me playing in a real ‘rock band.’  I am grateful to Bill Lawyer and the town of Rye for sponsoring this event!”
