World Cup Fans Have 'Get-Out-of-Work' Note from Team USA Coach

American soccer fans newly gripped by  2014 FIFA World Cup mania are pondering how long a lunch break they can take today to catch Team USA in its do-or-die match against Germany.

The game begins at noon ET and is carried on ESPN.

No worries. U.S. Coach Jurgen Klinsmann has posted a "Get Out of Work" excuse you can take to the boss. It's on the U.S. Soccer Twitter feed if you need to download it and present it to your supervisor. Klinsmann has already signed it, so you're good to go.

The soccer organization tweeted: "Need note to get out of work Thurs? @J_Klinsmann has you covered. Show your cool boss. It will def work! #LetsDoThis"

The U.S. must tie or defeat powerhouse Germany, earlier the top seed in the World cup, in order to move on to the next round. See a preview here of this Group G showdown.

According to Reuters News Service the full note reads:

"I understand that this absence may reduce the productivity of your workplace, but I can assure you that it is for an important cause," wrote Klinsmann.

"The #USMNT (U.S. Men's National Team) has a critical World Cup game vs Germany and we will need the full support of the nation if we are to advance to the next round.

"By the way, you should act like a good leader and take the day off as well. Go USA! Signed Jurgen Klinsmann, Head Coach, U.S. National team".
