After starting out 0-3 Rye has rallied around freshman quarterback Andrew Livingston to find their way into the playoffs at 4-3. Rye got the win they needed this weekend against Lakeland. Blind Brook football also won as the Trojans wrapped up a very successful homecoming week. Rye also had a very triumphant weekend on the pitch, as both of the Garnet soccer teams found ways to win at home.

Score: Rye Won 20-0
Highlights: Rye’s Jake Meyerson found the end zone in the first quarter on a 2-yard run and the Garnets went on from there. James Dugan also scored early, breaking free for a 70-yard touchdown run while Joe Simolacaj picked up a touchdown late.

Game: Vallhalla @ Blind Brook
Score: Blind Brook Won 41-12
Highlights: The Trojans ended the season on a high note as they cruised to victory at their Homecoming Game.
Sport: Girl’s Soccer
Game: Pelham @ Rye
Score: Rye Won 3-1
Highlights: Rye got goals from Alex Dicastanzo, Vania Ludman, and Kate Whiston on the way to a 3-1 home victory. Kelly Barnhardt had 8 saves in the win. The only Pelham goal was scored by Campbell Fee in the first half.
Sport: Boy’s Soccer
Game: Yonkers @ Rye
Score: Rye Won 1-0
Highlights: Mattheus Gomes scored a goal in the game’s first half that proved to be enough for the Garnet defense. Liam Harris had two saves in goal and Rye cruised in a shut out victory.
Today’s Schedule:
In field hockey, Rye and Mamaroneck will square off at Flint Park.
In girl’s soccer, Ardsley heads to Rye for a 4:30 p.m. showdown.
In volleyball, Rye faces off against Briarcliff at 4:30 p.m.
In boy’s soccer, the Trojans will take on Tappan Zee at 4:15 p.m. at Blind Brook.
