While hockey season is in full swing, a Hockey vs. Hunger week was designated and the teams and clubs have organized their players and opponents to collect needed items for the Carver Center food pantry at their practice and games. The Rye Rangers Hockey Club has successfully been doing this for the past two seasons. This year the following are also participating:

Greenwich Blues Hockey Association
Mariners Hockey
Rye Rangers Hockey Club
Erik Nates Euro Hockey
Greenwich High School
Rye Country Day School
Rye High School
Rye Middle School
Rye Town/Harrison Titans

The most needed food items are: rice, cooking oil, dry or canned beans, canned fruit, peanut butter, canned tuna, cereal, shelf stable milk and pasta.

The Rye Country Day School, Dorothy Hamill and Chelsea Piers rinks have all generously agreed to support this effort and offered to be points of collection.

Food items can also be brought over to the The Carver Center at 400 Westchester Avenue in Port Chester, NY 10573.
