Rye’s soccer team narrowly defeated Harrison, as Blind Brook volleyball won at home. Blind Brook soccer and Rye volleyball both fell last night, but the town is looking towards “The Game” Saturday afternoon.

Rye High School is putting on their annual pep rally tonight to wrap up spirit week.

The Harrison athletic office announced that tickets for the game will go on sale at noon with an expected opening kick off at 1:30. Parking will be tight for the contest so get to the high school early or you can park at the office buildings on Mamaroneck Avenue or L.M.K. Middle School and take a shuttle bus over.

Sport: Boy’s Soccer

Game: Harrison @ Rye

Score:  Rye Won 2-1

Highlights: It wasn’t “The Game” but when Harrison and Rye get together, regardless of the sport, you know it will be a good matchup. The Garnets defeated the Huskies last night on the strength of two Mattheus Gornes goals and five saves in goal from Liam Harris. Robert Medori had five saves for the Huskies while Erik Johansen had the only goal for Harrison.

Sport: Boy’s Soccer

Game: Blind Brook @ Alexander Hamilton

Score: Blind Brook Lost 3-1

Highlights: Despite 10 saves from goal keeper Ben Seguljic, Blind Brook fell on the road. Lucas McBride had the lone Trojan goal off of a Matthew Christal assist.

Sport: Volleyball

Game: Keio @ Rye

Score: Rye Lost 3-1

Highlights: Keio looked dominate at times against Rye as the Unicorns took a 3-1 victory Thursday night. Marisa Curlen had 13 assists for the Garnets in the losing effort.

Sport: Volleyball

Game: Port Chester @ Blind Brook

Score:  Blind Brook Won 3-1

Highlights: After winning the first set convincingly, Port Chester went on to lose the next three giving the match to the Trojans. Michaella Antony had 20 assists for Blind Brook in the victory and Katelyn Kim had 11 kills.

Today’s Schedule:

In girl’s soccer, Harrison beat Rye 2-1 when the teams played earlier at Harrison. The Huskies will need everything they have to sweep the season series, the two teams face off at Rye at 5 p.m.

In girl’s swimming, Rye will host Keio at the Hommocks Middle School at 4:30 p.m.

In boy’s soccer, Blind Brook will head to the Keio Academy at 4:30 p.m.

In girl’s tennis, Blind Brook will welcome Croton Harmon High School in at 4:15 p.m.
