[VIDEO] Spoons Up! Blind Brook Middle School Breaks Record for Food Pantry

Blind Brook Middle schoolers set a Guinness World Record Thursday morning for most people eating cold cereal; for their efforts they earned a $5000 donation from Stop-and-Shop for the Carver Center food pantry in Port Chester.

Students at earned a Guinness Word Record for most people eating cold cereal for breakfast Thursday morning. Exactly 324 students held spoons up in unison and ate bowls of cereal provided by event sponsor Stop & Shop, surpassing the old record of 286 people previously set in Scotland.

Their caper, organized by 7 sixth grade members of the student group Destination Imagination at Blind Brook Middle School,  means more breakfasts for the families served by the Carver Center Food Pantry of Port Chester, recipient of a $5000 donation from Stop & Shop supermarket company.
