Rye City Schools Superintendent Dr. Frank Alvarez plans to email parents and faculty Tuesday afternoon, district officials say, following a public posting to Rye Patch that makes accusations about Rye High School Principal Patricia Taylor.

It isn't clear how much truth is contained in the posting, made under the name "Mary Grace," though it has set off a divisive discussion among Patch users, some defending Taylor with some others backing up its claims. The post accuses Taylor of mismanagement and ill treatment of faculty, among other claims.

Officials with the district declined to comment to Patch. When reached by Patch, the head of the Rye High School Parents Organization said more time is needed to assess the claims before making an official comment.

Patch will post Alvarez's letter to parents and faculty as soon as it is available.

Typical Alvarez response. "La-la-la, I can't hear you." What a joke. When has he ever shown that he is "always happy to meet and discuss matters that are of concern to our school community."?? The community has gone to countless meetings to be heard about how our teachers have been abused, slandered, bullied, harassed and wronged. His response? "La-la-la, I can't hear you." He doesn't want to know about that joke Taylor or the criminally awful Garcia. They. All. Must. Go. Start with getting rid of Laura Slack-Jaw.

Ben, you seem to be a very hostile guy... take a time out. Patty Taylor is great and the complaining and whining is only being done by parents who have an axe to grind. Rye is a competitive place ... beware of these kinds of posts.

A short while ago, I was reading the comments on the various posts on the subject of the Principal of Rye High School. In one of the comments, I noticed that a one Kate Longo took it upon herself to insert my business email signature and disclaimer in one of her comments without my authorization. Equally disturbing, she took it upon herself to insert a one line disparaging remark about certain school officials making it seem like I was the author. This comment is a FRAUD, this email is a FRAUD. To be clear, as to Principal Taylor, and the various allegations brought against her, I have no standing at Rye High School, do not know Principal Taylor, and therefore take no position on the matter. As to Dr. Alvarez, I have some familiarity with him, and while I question his actions and in-actions in the reassigned teachers matters, I have no standing in the elementary schools, and therefore take no position on the matter. As to Principal Garcia, I do know her, and any question of actions and in-actions in the reassigned teachers matters is subject to conjecture, I have no standing in the elementary schools, and therefore take no position on the matter. I have given Kate Longo 24 hours to delete her fraudulent post that disparages my character and add to that demand her apology to Principal Taylor, Dr. Alvarez, and Principal Garcia for her unwise action with my email signature and disclaimer without my authorization or knowledge.
