In early December, the school board's negotiating team met with the negotiating team for the association to continue discussions concerning teachers' contracts.

Both teams plan to meet again after the holidays.

In its public meeting, the board will approve bids awarded to two companies for electrical, plumbing and heating repairs throughout the school district. The board will also discuss personnel issues, such as extra pay for extra work, report its financials for the month of November, and discuss the fiscal constraints and challenges the school district is facing.

The Board of Education's regular meeting will begin at 8 p.m. in the multi-purpose room at Rye Middle School, 3 Parsons Street.
