The construction at the Rye High School and Rye Middle Schools has been making significant progress.
The locker rooms were completed in November and the students have been using them.
The new science wing is progressing and the steel is being installed.
The new locker rooms have upgraded fixtures, benches, and flooring. They are safer and healthier facilities, which include handicap-accessible showers.
The coaches’ offices located inside of the locker rooms and have been renovated.
The new science wing’s structural steel has been delivered and is being installed. The installation of the underground piping system has been completed.
Exterior work on the new science wing is continuing. Since the underground piping system has been completed and the concrete has been poured.
A more detailed update of this progress will be presented at the January 14th, 2014 Board of Education meeting.
