Rye Students Get Special Recognition
Rye City Students received awards from Dr. Alvarez for their participation in the New York State School Music Association.
Dr. Alvarez, Superintendent of the Rye City School District gave a special acknowledgement and awards of Rye Recognition of Excellence Awards to some of Rye’s students who have been selected to participate in the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Area All-State Festival in chorus, band and orchestra.
Rye Middle School students were also selected to the NYSSMA Area All-County Intermediate Festival and two elementary school students were selected to perform in the Area All-County Elementary Festival.
