Eye on Art Lecture Series: Social Realism

The Rye Arts Center's last segment of the Eye on Art Lecture Series will cover Social Realism in the 1930s:  Germany, Mexico and Russia. 

Gail Harrison Roman, PhD, will lead the informative lecture, which is open to anyone who has an interest in art history.  Attendees are welcome to bring lunch; coffee, tea, and dessert will be served.

Gail Harrison Roman, PhD, is a specialist in nineteeth and twentieth century European art as well as the Dutch Baroque, with a particular expertise in Russian avant-garde art and ar.chitecture.  Her work has been widely published in catalogues, journals, and books, as well as a specialized curator and a seasoned lecturer at professional conferences and at major museums and universities in the U.S. and Europe.
