Dr. Alvarez has some remarks and announcements to make about the Rye City School District.
Rye City School District’s Superintendent, Dr. Alvarez has provided a report to the Board and to the community outlining several initiatives that will be taking place within the district.

He explained that the district has been observing and analyzing how effective the Annual Professional Performance Review (APPR) Plan has been doing which was just implemented over the past year. There is a committee that is exploring means to reshape the plan.

Dr. Alvarez mentioned that the Wincap (financial management program) and Aesop (employee attendance system) are fully operational.
Dr. Alvarez is proud to announce that all nine-fall varsity teams have earned the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Scholar Athlete Team Award. This honor requires a number of athletes from each team to earn a 90% or higher average for the first marking period.
