Black History Month Celebration; Blind Brook Budget Presentation

Five things you need to know for the weekend, Feb. 21-24.

1.     Black History Month Celebrations

Westchester County will hold a black history and heritage celebration on Monday, Feb. 25 at 6:30 p.m. in the legislative chambers at 800 Michaelian office building, 148 Martine Ave., 8th Floor, White Plains, NY. State senator Andrea Steward-Cousins will be honored.

2.     Blind Brook Board of Education Budget Presentation

BB Schools superintendent William Stark will present the 2013-2014 budget proposal at the Blind Brook BOE meeting on Monday, Feb. 25 at 8 p.m. Read the agenda here.

3. Rye Town Park Commission

The Rye Town Park Commission will meet Monday, Feb. 25 at 6 p.m. for its monthly meeting. Read the full agenda here.

4.     Rye Brook Board of Trustees Meeting

The Board will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 7:30 p.m. at Rye Village Hall.

5.   Rye City Council Meeting

The Council will meet on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 8 p.m. at Rye Town Hall.
