Assistant Superintendent for Business Kathleen Ryan to Resign in July

A press release from the Rye City School District.

Rye City School District Assistant Superintendent for Business, Kathleen Ryan, has announced her resignation effective July 31, 2013. Mrs. Ryan, who expressed her warm reflections on her six years in the District, will be focusing on her future plans to pursue personal and professional interests and spend part of the year in Florida.

Mrs. Ryan joined the District in 2007. She has been instrumental in the annual budget process as well as many other business matters, including capital projects. “It has been a pleasure to work with Kathleen,” stated Superintendent Dr. Frank Alvarez. “She has been a vital member of our Central Administration and an exceptional business official. Her expertise and outstanding contributions will be missed.”

“It has been a privilege to work with all of my colleagues here in Rye,” Mrs. Ryan stated. “Dr. Alvarez has been wonderful, as has the rest of my administrative team, and it will be a bittersweet farewell as I leave my role here to focus on other areas of my life. I would like to thank the many supportive Board members, Central Administration, and all my other fellow staff members for making my time in the District such a positive experience.”
