Video: Why Do You Love Living in Rye?

The first installment in our video series celebrating Rye's 350th anniversary.

Rye was founded in 1660, but a lot has changed in 350 years, from the shops on Purchase Street to Rye Beach. Rye has grown from a town of 3,500 residents with two schools, five churches and a library to a bustling area with close to 15,000 residents, a highly regarded school district and diverse businesses downtown. But what has kept people flocking to this city and this area for more than three centuries?

Rye Patch's Tom Nycz asked that question to residents and civic and business leaders in the first installment of our video series commemorating Rye's 350th anniversary. So, why do people love living in Rye? Click the video to the right to see what residents had to say about what makes Rye so great.
