Good luck Joe. We need a change, Nita is same old, same old.

Joe Carvin
Bob Ogden March 27, 2012 at 03:32 pm
Joe, You've said in the past that you were for a "path to legalization but not citizen ship" for illegal immigrants. Just how is that going to work and do you stand by that position?
Francis T McVetty April 1, 2012 at 03:11 pm
There is only one path to citizenship. Go through the process. You apply in YOUR country. That means you are living there. You wait like the rest of those applying and DON'T sneak across the border to jump the waiting line. It is that simple. Anything else is rewarding illegal behavior.
Bob Ogden April 1, 2012 at 07:40 pm
Hmm, let's see. He's pro path to legalization for illegal immigrants; he's pro-abortion up to 24 weeks, which is already the law in New York.
If it wasn't that he was a multimillionaire Hedge Fund Manager he could be a Democrat. Hey. Go Joe or should we just call you Lowey Light.
peekskillman April 1, 2012 at 08:00 pm
he has to be pro-illegal immigrants; he is from Port Chester, a harbinger of the illegals. Where and how do yo think he is going to try to get the most votes from??
Disgusting and a slap in the face to all those who came here thru the legal process, not in the trunk of a bus or thru the desert at nite
Bob Zahm April 2, 2012 at 01:29 am
How many democrats do you know who consistently lower taxes and work to dismantle layers of gov't? In Carvin's case, the Town of Rye?
And what's wrong with people becoming US citizens as long as the follow the law to do so? Mr. Ogden, are you privy to some inside information or position paper in which Carvin has said that he wants to change the immigration laws or are you secretly a Lowey supporter?
Scott Walters April 2, 2012 at 11:33 am
One view doesn't a candidate make. Even Benjamin Ficus would be better than Ms. Lowey....
Bob Ogden April 2, 2012 at 01:08 pm
Unfortunately, this particular candidate has even said that he's taken certain positions because he couldn't get elected otherwise. I find it disheartening that he would say that and you folks would still support him. Whatever his "position" is, it should be real and come from his heart. The one thing I respect about Santorum is that he actually believes what he preaches. A little bit of truth goes a long way.
Bob Ogden April 2, 2012 at 01:10 pm
Bob,
I encourage legal immigration. It's one of the ways that a country grows and becomes more viable. I do not encourage illegal immigration by people who sneak across the border. My ancestors did it legally and my position is that if you begin your life here as a criminal, you shouldn't be rewarded for it.
Scott Walters April 2, 2012 at 01:45 pm
But do you prefer Ms. Lowey?
Bob Ogden April 2, 2012 at 03:01 pm
Of course I do. Whether or not you agree with her politics or not, she says what she means and means what she says. Carvin is a jellyfish who just wants to get votes in spite of his own beliefs. The man needs a moral compass.
Francis T McVetty April 2, 2012 at 10:05 pm
Bob, she certainly did with Obama care, didn't she/
Francis T McVetty April 2, 2012 at 10:05 pm
Bob, who needs a compass? We don't have anyone at the helm now running the country.
Bob Ogden April 2, 2012 at 10:25 pm
Francis,
Seriously, what makes you support Carvin. He's pro-abortion and you're against that. He's pro legalizing illegal immigrants and you're against that. He's practically a democrat and I know you hate them.. Yet because this guy wrapped himself in an elephant print flag, you're jumping to his defense. I think you need to re-examine your belief system. If you can actually support him, you might be a Democrat.
Scott Walters April 3, 2012 at 11:57 am
Bob....I support Carvin for the simple fact that he is NOT LOWEY....:)
Tim Kennedy April 3, 2012 at 04:48 pm
I don't think the social issues are the biggest problem. Illegal immigration is a non-issue BECAUSE THEY'RE ALREADY HERE!
Debt and Taxes ARE BIG PROBLEMS. Lowey has personally raised the national deficit from $3.5 Trillion to $14+ Trillion and sees nothing wrong with it. If that's ok with you keep voting for her, but remember, that makes you part of the problem, too. Fiscally conservative politicians are like baby pigeons. I'm sure they must exist but I've never seen one. Reagan blew up the national debt, so did Bush. Nothing conservative there though they talked a good game. Carvin CUT spending and CUT taxes for the town. Who else in government at any level has EVER done that?
Rosenkr4nz June 21, 2012 at 01:58 am
Joe did you pay your taxes and settle the tax warrants you received since 2006?
Just look at these leins! http://goo.gl/IrlPd You must think taxes are "Just for little people."
Rosenkr4nz June 21, 2012 at 02:01 am
We have left our children with an enormous debt. We robbed their bank accounts to pay for Lowey's busy hands!
Carvin is no better! He has received three tax warrants for not paying his taxes since 2006! And he is suppose to be a fiscal expert!?
Rosenkr4nz June 21, 2012 at 02:04 am
Yeah but why can't Carvin pay his taxes like everybody else? He is a so-called "fiscal expert". http://goo.gl/IrlPd

I cannot and will NOT vote for a "Republican" who voted for Dear Leader Chairman MaoBama in 2008!! Please someone tell me how in the world can a "Republican" vote for a man who stated he wants to "fundamentally change the fabric of the United States of America"??? I cannot vote for ANYONE who has supported this person WHO has taken our White House and who has shredded our Constitution...
http://articles.businessinsider.com/2012-03-01/wall_street/31112566_1_trade-deficit-kirsten-gillibrand-town-supervisor#comments Also word on the street is that Mrs. Carvin attended a re-election campaign in September 2011 for Dear Leader Chairman MaoBama as well and gave two $500 donations although unfortunately this cannot be verified by using: http://www.fec.gov/finance/disclosure/norindsea.shtml Mr. Carvin "said it was a done in error"??? There is no way I would send two $500 donations "in error". That is a large sum of money to "hand out in error". Until someone can explain why Mr. Carvin voted for MaoBama w/ a concise, clear, direct answer as to WHY he would support such a change in America I will not support him. Just a little side bar he has incorporated Agenda 21 into the Town of Rye!! Look it up.http://local2012.iclei.org/add-your-city/whos-already-in/?city=rye&country=United+States It's a UN initiative for "Sustainable Development" He is NO REPUBLICAN! Or perhaps he is because most “republicans today” are really RINOS!!
