Efficient Lighting for Tarrytown Village Hall

Tonight the board will award a lighting bid and announce fire department membership changes.

The Wednesday, Dec. 12 work session agenda for the Tarrytown Board of Trustees is as follows:

Board of Trustees Concerns

Open Session

  • Award of Lighting Bid 

For the replacement of lighting throughout Village buildings to reduce power utilization and thus reduce costs

  • Fire Department Membership Changes

Executive Session

     1A.  Tax Certiorari

     2A.  Personnel – Discussion of Ethics Board Opinions

     3A.  Sale of Property

The work session begins at 7 p.m. and is open to public until it goes into executive session. Tarrytown Village Hall, One Depot Plaza.

This is the second time the village screwed up. First, installing Solar Panels AFTER construction of the new village hall. Now, what, are they going to actually change the fixtures too, not just the bulbs? Is this a move to save the village money or save the planet? If it's the latter reason, yeah sure, give the okay for McMansion's at 620 S. Broadway and that tinderbox eyesore across the street and then change a few light bulbs or add skylights to make up for it, lol, you people are so weird.

Why are we changing lights in a building that is just build.The Village Hall is now going to cost $200,000 for new lights when the old lights are 3 years old.I am tired of hearing about grants and it's not costing the Taxpayers anything.WERE DO YOU THINK THE GRANTS COME FROM MR.BLAU ? LET ME HELP YOU "TAXPAYERS"
