Street Closures Tonight Around Locust Avenue and Purchase Street
Roadwork will close Purchase Street and Locust Avenue tonight from 5 p.m. until 8 a.m. Friday morning. Detailed information here.
Mill and paving work at Locust Avenue and Purchase Street will take place Thursday night.
Rye City Manager Scott Pickup said "unless rain lingers, we are still on for tonight." So plan your coffee and shopping runs accordingly. No Parking signs are already posted in the area to alert motorists about tonight's restrictions. Cars parked in the area will be towed, if necessary.
Locust Avenue will be closed from Purchase Street to Haviland Lane. Purchase Street will be blocked off between Boston Post Road and Smith Street.

Rye police department issued an extensive NIXLE alert that indicated the Locust Avenue closure will begin at 5 p.m. and continue until Friday morning at 8 a.m. and the Purchase Street closure will start at 7 p.m.
