New Democratic Leadership In Westchester Board Of Legislators

Westchester Board of Legislators (BOL) have chosen their new leadership team for the 2014-2015 legislative session.

The new leadership team will fall under, Legislator Catherine Borgia (D-Ossining) who will be the next Majority Leader, and BOL Vice Chair Lyndon Williams (D-Mount Vernon) who will become the new Majority Whip.

These new leadership positions will take effect at the next regular meeting of the BOL on January 6, 2014. The BOL Democratic caucus met Tuesday morning to decide the leadership re-organization.

“I am grateful for the support of my colleagues in the Democratic caucus, and look forward to working with the full Board to best serve all of the people of Westchester,” said Borgia. “There are important values like job creations, smart spending and protecting our environment that should guide this Board’s decision-making in the upcoming session.”
