Mayor Feinstein's Update: 910 Still Without Power

Information on shelters, where to shower and more.

An update from Rye Brook Mayor Joan Feinstein, 1 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 4:

Con Edison crews continue to work in Rye Brook to restore power with approximately 910 residents still without power.  The estimated date of restoration continues to be Friday, November 9 at midnight although we anticipate that many will be restored sooner.

The AJP Community Center located at 32 Garibaldi Place will be open today and tomorrow from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. Residents will be able to pick up dry ice while supplies last, receive information from village staff about what we have been told by Con Edison about restoration efforts, to charge phones, keep warm and you can use the computers to access the Internet.

The weather forecast is for temperatures to go below freezing therefore shelters are located in White Plains at the Post Road School, 175 Post Road and Chappaqua Crossing 480 Bedford Rd (the former Readers' Digest building).  For a full list of shelters, go to the Rye Brook Web Page atryebrook.org.

Showers are available today for Rye Brook residents from 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm at the Club @800 Westchester Ave, located in the RPW Building, 800 Westchester Ave.  Remember to bring cleansing products, shampoo, towel and soap.

If you see that your neighbor’s power has been restored but yours has not, please contact Con Edison at 1-800-75CONED.  There may be additional repairs needed to your individual home.
